The ocean is taught to always kiss the sand
No matter how often it’s pushed away
The leaves learn how to wipe away their tears
Whenever the sky cuts itself in two
All night the sun rests dreaming of mourning
Despite the darkness inside she rises
Like a whirling dervish that never sleeps
The hospitable spins deaf to the world
But if oceans dry up as starts explode-
Nothing will ever last forever and
Eternal is just a euphemism
Endlessly up for interpretation
Then how can love be held to standards of forever
That not even the sun could ever endeavor
