LYRICS
Fall of 2014, new kid in class.
Nice clothes, haircut, yeah they called him Cash.
Only 16 with big dreams, wanted to be a lawyer.
But his mom’s on crack so he started selling on the corners.
But deep down inside he had a krave for knowledge.
So all the money from drug sales he’d save for college.
A good kid who sometimes took the bad path.
And that ended up him getting beat up for cash.
But he’d always make sure he was at school.
And although all the gangs would call him a fool, he was a straight A student that actually cared.
Now school was fine but at home he was scared.
Mama’s new boyfriend would come home and beat her up.
He’d try to stop him but it wasn’t enough.
He’d bet his mom to end it multiple times but she would reply “he hits me because he loves me, you’ll see over time”
And to cope with all the stress at home, he joins the football team so his mind doesn’t roam.
And although everyone said he was a great QB, his mind is still set on being the law firms V.P.
And throughout the year girls started crushing.
He’d walk by in the halls and on cue they start blushing.
Despite his friends chanting “Cash wants to smash” he isn’t into girls who see him and have a hot flash.
And so he ignores the facebook messages and pokes.
Cause his next mission in life is to get his mom off coke.
Only person in his way is mama’s boyfriend.
So he changes the locks over the weekend.
But he ain’t gone that quick, nope not that fast.
Mama’s boyfriend comes with his gang and beats up Cash.
He wakes up 5 hours later in a hospital, doctors glad to see he wasn’t gone that fast.
He ask for his mama and doc said “she’s gone”.
Gang members beat her up and cops found her dead on the lawn.
A week later Cash was discharged from the hospital.
He didn’t want to go to school he had a new obstacle.
He went home and got the gun from his nightstand.
Then walked down the street, yeah gun in hand.
With the gang members in eye view, he shot them down and like dominos they fell to the ground.
Police sirens were heard from a distance, but that didn’t stop Cash, no he had not resistance.
He walked up to the gang leader who was chuckling and smiling, he asked Cash, “Young boy why you wildin’?”
Cash puts the gun to the gang leader’s face and down he fell but Cash fell as well.
Cash put the gun to his own head, counted to 5, boom
He was dead.
